Three Years Pregnancy Episode 39
Three Years Pregnancy
Episode 39
Amanda felt a wave of fear wash over her as she saw the figure standing at the door. She thought, Not again. Not more problems. Her voice trembled as she said, “Please, we don’t want your problem here.”
The woman smiled gently and replied calmly, “I didn’t come here for trouble. I came for peace.” She stepped inside, and behind her stood a young boy, who looked strikingly like Jerry.
Jerry’s eyes widened as he looked at the boy. There was something about him that stirred memories — the same smile, the same eyes. But Jerry kept silent, unsure of what to say or do. He just sat there, watching closely to see how things would unfold.
It was the nanny’s mother, the woman who had cared for their home before. It had been a long time since the nanny’s burial. The old woman felt it was time for her grandson to grow up with at least one parent by his side, no matter the circumstances. That was why she had come.
“Like I told you, I came with peace,” she said, pointing at the young boy standing beside her. “And I came with your son.” Her voice softened. “His name is Emmanuel. After his mother died, I changed his name to Emmanuel.”
The room went quiet. Most of them looked happy, even relieved by her visit. But Amanda’s face was cold. Her smile was sharp and different as she looked at the boy.
“I’m sorry,” Amanda said sharply. “But we don’t need the boy here. We’re happy now — a happy family. We appreciate your kindness, but you can take him back. Maybe he’ll be useful to you in the future. Just leave us alone.” Her words hung heavy in the air, shocking everyone.
It was clear Amanda did not want the boy. She knew deep down that the child would always be remembered as the first son — the child she could never replace. She didn’t want to give him that chance.
“Amanda, what are you saying?” Jerry asked, hurt and confused. “This is good news. The woman brought our son back. That boy is my son — your son too. This is a reunion.”
Amanda’s eyes flashed with anger. “Don’t you dare call that boy my son! He is your son — the son you got from cheating on me. And now, here you are, sitting confidently, as if nothing happened. I blame myself for ever accepting you back.”
Jerry’s heart ached. “Amanda, we can still live together as one family. We can fix this.”
“No,” Amanda said firmly. “We can’t live as one. My child cannot grow up with a child you had through betrayal. Take that child away, or I will leave — with my child.”
Angela stepped forward, trying to calm Amanda down, but Amanda cut her off. Her mother tried too, but Amanda wasn’t listening. She had made up her mind — she would not accept the nanny’s child. Her decision was final.
The young boy — Emmanuel — understood more than they thought. He was old enough to know the truth about his mother. He had been told that his father had ended his mother’s life in a terrible mistake. He had felt hope when his grandmother told him he would live with his real father, but now that hope was fading.
He hugged his grandmother tightly and whispered, “Let’s go home. They don’t want us.” Tears streamed down his young face. All he wanted was a father’s love — something he had never known.
Jerry looked at the boy and felt a deep guilt. He had taken away the boy’s mother, but now he had to take responsibility for the son. He wanted to show Emmanuel that he cared and that he was sorry for what happened.
“He must stay with us,” Jerry said, his voice trembling. “This is the only way I can ask for forgiveness from his late mother. Please, he has to stay.”
Amanda stood her ground. “Fine. I can’t stop you from taking care of your son. After all, he is your first child, your real son. It’s clear you love him more than our daughter. But I won’t stay in this house with him. Thank God I have my restaurant. I can rent another place for me and my baby. But I cannot welcome another woman’s child here.” She stormed off to her room, leaving everyone stunned and silent.
Angela looked at the others and said, “Don’t worry. I’ll talk to my friend — Amanda’s closest friend. Maybe she can help. Let’s hope Amanda listens.”
She stood and went to Amanda’s room, hoping to calm her down.
Gabriel sat next to Jerry, lowering his voice. “Bro, I understand you want to support the boy, and that’s right. But think about your marriage too. Think about what Amanda has been through because of you. Remember all the sacrifices she made.”
Jerry looked confused and pained. “Are you saying I should abandon my own son — my blood — just because of what I did to his mother?”
“No, not at all,” Gabriel said quickly. “I’m saying you should look at both sides carefully. Find a way to bring everyone together. Give it time. Don’t rush to make a decision that could break your family.”
Jerry sighed, deep in thought. He was torn between choosing Emmanuel or trying to save his marriage. But one thing was clear in his heart: no matter what, he would never abandon his son.
